Re: GMT 300M 50 years
In Response To: Re: GMT 300M 50 years ()

: Hi--What do you mean by "skeleton
: model" for 50th Anniversary model? I
: bought mine with this designation @
: authorized dealer's retail store.
I have the same one. But after buying it when I tried to find anything about it on Omega's website, there was nothing. The only mention of the 50 YR model was a skeleton Seamaster in whitegold. That is when I started wondering about the dealer since there are so many stories floating around about fakes. I called another Omega dealer in a different state and asked about the GMT with 50YR engraved on the back below the dragon. He checked with Omega and told me, that the only 50 yr model is the skeleton seamaster. So I started looking and found this thread that validated that there was such a thing. I just wanted to let others know that they might run into Omega dealers who do not know about this watch, since even the Omega site has no information on this model.
Enjoy the watch, it is great. I have had mine since Jan and love it.
