In Response To: You've Been seriously misled ()

: the 50 YEARS inscription on the Black Dial
: GMT refers to 50 years of the Omega
: Seamaster. The Seamaster was introduced in
: 1948, and the Black Dial GMT was released in
: 1998 with the inscription 50 YEARS. The
: White Dial GMT does not have the
: inscription, because it was released in
: 2000. All Black Dial Seamaster GMTs have the
: 50 YEARS inscription and it has nothing to
: do with the 50 Year Anniversary Skeleton
: Seamaster. Information on that can be found

I agree with you. I was just trying to let others know that there are some Authorized Omega dealers who dont know about this, and Omega makes the matter worse by not having any information about this particular inscription on their web site. I was panicked for a week till I found information in this forum about the watch. BTW, where does one find the manufacturing date of a given Omega watch. Can't seem to get anything from Omega via email.

Thanks
