I should have said "relatively" flat...
In Response To: Sorry, domed Spapphire Crystal ()

I should have referred to the sapphire crystal as "relatively" flat, compared to the high domed edge of the hesalite.

What I am trying to ascertain is whether or not the lack of the light-refracting edge on the tall hesalite crystal will make the classic moon watch look too comtemporary, like a Speedmaster Reduced or Speedmaster Day-Date. I want to see the classic moon watch dial underneath that "modern" crystal and decide whether or not it spoils the overall look for me.

My other Omegas have sapphire, and I appreciate this feature very much. This will be a tough decision on my moon watch. Also, I am sad I no longer have the option of hesalite front and sapphire display back. That could very well have been the ideal setup.

Thanks for your comments.
