Yes to both. Some of the buckles even have a hole so you can easily release the pin with the straight end of a strap changing tool or even a straight pin.

By the way, I have one of the Banda Crocket Gator straps. Got a yellow one to wear on my Omega Dynamic (which has a black dial with yellow highlights). I think it is a good strap for the money.

Also, if you have small wrists, the single-folding types of deployant clasps might not be comfortable. On the ones that fit standard straps, the mechanism folds the OPPOSITE direction from what you might expect. So they tend to ride up the inside of a smaller wrist. The double folding ones are better as they are centered on the buckle point, not all off to one side.
