Neat watch!

I am not an expert in the older military models, so I can only comment on certain aspects of the watch. The only thing that strikes me as a little off is the length of the hands. One of the things that really makes OMEGA watches stand out is exceptional attention to tiny details. So it is not like OMEGA to use hands that are so long they they overlap dial markings like those do. The minute hand would normally stop right at the edge of the minute track and the hour hand would not normally eclipse any of the digits on the dial.

So there is a vague possibility that either those are not the original hands, or the dial was repainted different from the original on that watch.

For an opionion from some really great and highly knowledgable military watch experts, also post your photo and questions over at the MWR Watch Forum at www.broadarrow.net.

Also, have OMEGA look up that serial number for you. They can tell you exactly what that watch was like when first made. See teh Vintage Information section of their official website at omegawatches.com.
