AT or Speedy Reduced

Dear Fellow Omega Lovers,

I've been browsing this forum for some time and I enjoy it very much. I'd like to ask for your insight. I am slowly, but surely falling in love with 2 watches. One is the new Aqua Terra 38 mm SS with blue dial. I like this, I believe, for its classical looks and I find the co-axial escapement hard to resist. I am an engineer type :-) I am planning to wear the watch non-stop, so it's apparent simplicity suggests to me that it could handle the abuse it will have to face.

However, my real love may be the Speedmaster Reduced. It's a bit smaller, which I prefer because of my 6.75" wrists, and it's just a great looking watch. It is also a chronograph and this gives me pause. If I choose this watch, I know that I WILL use the chronograph function a DOZEN times EVERY day for the rest of my life, and even more frequently for the first few weeks... If I use its chronograph function this heavily, will the Speedy Reduced die on me before its first scheduled service appointment? Can this movement handle the frequent use of its "stop-watch" function, or is the chronograph more like a "cosmetic" addition that is not meant to be abused? I'd hate to break my watch...

I know I have to make this decision myself, but from what you've heard, would you choose the AT or the Speedy Reduced?

Thanks for your insight.

Alex
