Dynamic or Tag 2000 Classic?

I'm currently in the process of selecting my first "fine Swiss watch" (and first non-Timex or Citizen watch too)to purchase and would like to select one to last me a lifetime. I am trying to decide between the Tag 2000 Classic or Omega Dynamic Date Pilots watch. Any recommendations? Looking for something that looks good for all occasions and I'm also a little concerned that the Dynamic is a little on the small diameter side.

Any recommendations are appreciated.
