Re: seamster suddenly running fast

are car radio antennas liable to magnetize the watch? I was waiting to pick up a friend. i was outside the car, with my watch arm right next to the antenna, and the radio was on. think that could have done it?

thanks

: You can easily have been exposed to a strong
: magnet or electromagnetic field without
: knowing it. Since it is not something that
: you would feel, you can't tell when it
: happens.

: A few years back, I would carry work home on a
: floppy disk. When I carried the disk in my
: shirt pocket, it would be fine. When I
: carried it in my jacket pocket, it would
: usually be unreadable. Seemed really odd,
: since the two pockets are in almost the same
: location on my body. Finally discovered it
: was when I hung my jacket on the hook in the
: back of the car, the jacket pocket was right
: next to the power window motor on the rear
: door.

: Don't see how. Water seepage would at most make
: the movement rust and cause it to slow down
: -- not speed up.
