Vintage Seamaster 300 loose crown

Hello all,

I've got an early 60's Seamaster 300. I've had the movement overhauled by my watchmaker but the crown is always coming loose...I think this has to do with me wearing the watch loose around my wrist (and always rubbing on the back of my hand) and the crown is not of the screw down type.
This keeps me from waring the watch on a daily basis. Therefore I was wondering; is it possible to install a screw down tube/crown in a non screw down case?
