Re: Resale Value: Quartz vs. Auto
In Response To: Resale Value: Quartz vs. Auto ()

I recently purchased a used chonometer, after having debated buying Chrono vs. quartz. I will say that there were plenty of used Chronos to look at, but almost no Quartz used models. (The exception being a week old one I could have purchased for not much less than brand new).

Based on this experience, I believe there is a much smaller market out there for used Quartz models. I have also read on these board that the quartz models are less collectible.

: I have been tempted for many years to buy the
: Bond Seamaster Pro, but I am pondering one
: issue: Is there a major difference in
: depreciation between the quartz and auto
: models? Would either model be easier to
: sell/ trade in a few years (assuming
: condition was the same)? I am not interested
: in a general debate as to why quartz/auto is
: better, just an opinion on this particular
: issue.
