I bought an Omega quartz Seamaster>>

My "Service" consists of buying a $3 battery at Kmart.I have caviar tastes but am on a tuna fish budget,so I tend to lean towards the more affordable to maintain quartz products. That's just me.
I love autos, until they stop running and then they are'nt much fun anymore....
I hope you have better luck with the watch after the next service,it's a classic design.

: Four years ago my wife bought me a Speedmaster
: Automatic for our anniversary. I love it and
: wear it almost every day. About 22 months
: after I got it it stopped. I sent it back
: for service and they said it needed a
: cleaning. Their lit says it should need a
: cleaning around 5 years or so. I had an
: extended warranty so they covered it, but
: here it is again almost 2 years later and
: it's stopped again. Does this sound right?
: If I paid for the service the first time it
: would have been around $250 (every 2 years,
: that's a pretty expensice cost of
: ownership). Any feedback would be
: appreciated.

: Ken
