No. You are correct about not wanting to open the wath unnecessarily. Just remember to mention it in a year or two when you send the watch in for a routine cleaning.

To whom? YOU are the one it has to be acceptable to.

No. Actually, it is possible that you may have contributed to the error. Watch companies seldom warn you to not change the time within a couple hours either side of midnight--but if you do, you can disrupt the time the date change occurs.
