Got in new in box from authorized Omega dealer in Washington. I had requested it be sized to 7 1/2 and when it came it was so small I couldn't get it over my hand. Two links (both from the 12 o'clock side) had been removed and included along with two long pins and four short pins. I took it to the local authorized Omega dealer and had him put them back in. The watch almost fits but is still a little tight. I think I could use one full link with a half link removed to give an effective lengthening of one half link, if this makes sense.
An observation, even if my wrist had been that small I don't think I would have taken them both out of one side. The clasp was off center. Second, I wonder if the dealer wrote something down wrong?
Here is the configuration of links of the bracelet. Pretend the watch is lying on its side crown up and you're looking down at it.
o-- = full link with tiny hole
--- = full link without hole
o- = half link with tiny hole
(oo)= end link next to clasp with two tiny holes
Starting at the watch on the 12 o'clock side:
[watch lug] o-- --- --- o-- o-- o-- o- (oo) [clasp, button side]
Starting at the watch on the 6 o'clock side:
[watch lug] o-- --- --- o-- o-- o- (oo) [clasp, post side]
So, this gives:
full links with hole: 7
full links without hole: 4
half links with hole: 2
end links next to clasp: 2
I hope you can get what I'm trying to convey. Ascii art was never my forte. But it seems I didn't get all the links that were supposed to come with the watch. Anyone else bought a new SMP lately? How many links did you get? Note: this is a black dial/black bezel version with new style dial.
Thanks in advance.
