restrictions in the USA?

In Sweden, you won't have any problem with the customs as long as you have in on your arm it is no problem. You're allowed to buy certain "travel item" and take them back with you as long as they are used during the trip.


For instance: a camera (video or still) that you buy and use during the trip is dutyfree. But you're better not trying to take it in the orginal box, it might be hard to prove that it is used.


Allways interesting to see how different the custom laws are. I've always thought that USA was the land of free trade, but I've learned that it is more or less impossible to get a Rolex into USA and beeing legal. What I still don't get, it how it can be that Rolex can impose these strict import restrictions. Can anyone explain?
