Thank you for your comments on the subject which I found extremely interesting.My own researches were leading along the lines of your advice but I had no access to "independent" comment.

Also, I am en ex-semiprofessional photographer with a main interest in portraiture. My camera for this purpose is a Mamiya RB67, whilst for less ambitious stuff I also have a 35mm.

I harbour pretensions of printing the occasional A3 picture on my Epson 1290 Photoprinter.

OK - I am probably being unreasonable and could use a top quality UK lab.for large prints(as I have for the last 30+ years.In that context, your comments are very valid.

I simply have to stop being too traditionalist and go for it some-time !
