Grandfather's Constellation

On Feb.12 2002 I took my Omega to a local jeweler to have the dail "cleaned" and I told him the watch was very important to me and if they had to replace any parts let me know first. Well I picked the watch up yesterday, the dail looked almost to perfect for a 50 year old watch, the "star" under the word constellation was upside-down and the hour markers now have "glow in the dark". I pointed these things out to the jeweler but he just got angry and said I had to pay for the "work" or I couldn't have the watch.
So I paid and voiced my opinions through the store and out the door. Did they swap the dail or what ?
