That is total bullshit--a typical lie used to hide the fact that they are selling watches with the serial numbers inappropriately removed.
Never accept a new or modern Omega watch without a visible serial number on the back of the case--no matter what story a dealer gives you. ALL Omega watches made in the last 10 years or more should have a serial number on the outside of the watch.
