Re: Are watch winders necessary?

Bob: Watch winders aren't necessary. Nor are computers, cars, $2000 wrist watches, electricity and running water. However, if you have 3 automatic watches (as you do) and plan to get more, the watch winder will be very convenient, preventing your unused watches from winding down while you are wearing the others. Thus, you won't need to reset the watch you select each morning. That's the only reason to have a watch winder... sheer extreme luxurious convenience. Enjoy!

One other comment that I forgot to stick in my other post: If the primary goal of your expensive watch collection is to preserve them, stop wearing them and open a museum. If your primary goal is to enjoy them, stick those bad boys on the winder and spin away with abandon!
