GMT with 50 Years Mark

Hello,
I have what is probably a newbie question. I wish to purchase a GMT. In looking around at my local dealer, on the Omega web site, and on other sites, I have noticed that some GMTs have "50 Years" on the back of the case and some do not. The "expert" at my local dealer couldn't explain it so I emailed Omega. They wanted to know who the dealer was. I emailed that info to them last week but haven't heard back.
