Hehehe.....reminds me of.....

Hehehe......this reminds me of a car i bought from my dad about 15 years ago. It was a Volkswagon Scirroco, and while he owned it i remember my mom always complaining he wouldn't use the air conditioner.....EVEN of the very hot and humid 98-100 degree days! He always said he wanted to "save" the air, (for what, a 110 degree day? LOL). Periodically he would lube the seals with a brief 30 second or so turning it on.

Well, after about 6 years of owning the car i bought it. A week later the temps got up there and i turned on the air conditioner, only to discover it didn't work! Big surprise! So all the time he (and my mom) owned the car they never got benefit of one of lifes little pleasures......being comfortable in a car ride on a hot day. The tape on the watch is along the same vein, and you are right the tape does little to protect anything.

Now if that tape could be found in kevlar......

: Its only a watch. It is to be enjoyed, not
: worshipped. Who are you saving it for, the
: next owner?

: The only way to avoid damage to your watch is o
: lock it away in you safe deposit box and
: even thats not a guarantee.

: The scotch tape is very thin and provides
: little protection from that which would
: scratch the bezel anyway. Aside from the
: fact that the tape could take the paint off.
