Same goes for me. I bought my SMP Quartz because of its styling and resilience. The £200 saving over the auto model was a boon, and the +/- 1 sec per month accuracy is infintely preferable to having to reset the thing every day or so. Much as I admire the craftsmanship that obviously goes into making automatic watches, that alone is not enough to outweigh the disadvantages, IMHO.

You pays your money and takes your choice . . .
