Re: Long term storage
In Response To: Long term storage ()

I think the stored watches would be alright if you kept them on a winder, or at least wound them up every so often to allow for proper distribution of the lubricants. Servicing the watches at the correct intervals might also be in order.

: Hi,
: I am in the fortunate position to be able to
: purchase two SMP watches for my
: young sons (ages 1-5). I would like to give
: them the watches as High School graduation
: gifts,
: to match the SMP I wear today. I have no doubts
: that my daily worn SMP will be working in 13-17
: years, but how about the stored watches? I have
: considered: inevitable model changes, cost
: increases, (I have the $ now, but later,
: ???) but
: it would be nice to give them the same watch
: dad wears. Any help would be appreciated.

: Thanks,
: Chris
