Some possibilities...

Keep in mind that the 2531.80 "Bond" model uses the skeleton hands, so the glowing portions of the hands are only small spots. The newer SMP designs have much larger, bolder markings. While they may be too bold for some people's tastes in daylight, they kick butt on glowing legibly in the dark.

With my 2531.80, the night visibility problem I have is merely focusing on the small circles, triangles, and rectangles to orient myself to the items on the dial.

Also, I have heard of a few cases where the Super Luminova was not coated evenly or heavy enough on some of the newer watches. Try contacting Omega Customer Service and see if they can assist you in identifying whether there is any problem with your specific watch.
