First of all I must underline again that I have made a speculation, but a logical one.

He wouldn't implode because the inside body pressure (air in lungs, sinuses, medium ear) is equal with the outside one, in case of a diving bell.

Wrong: The difference between a submarine and a diving bell is that the inside diving bell pressure is equal with the water pressure (to be correct enough it will be water pressure + 1atm)

The idea (speculation) was that in a pressurized helium environment (using trimix as example) helium enter the SP tend to equalize the pressure inside the watch. From that point the watch can resist to depth more than the rated one. The speculation refers only to the presumption that it will enter enough helium (which can not be the
real case) to equalize the pressures inside and outside the watch. So, if the equalization moment is at 20atm the watch can be statically immersed to 490m witch mean ~50atm (20+29+1).
