Re: Can Speedy Pro crystal be changed to sapphire?

Both are very unlikely for two reasons.

One is that not all Speedmaster parts are interchangeable. Even models that look a lot alike are not always identical. The material of the crystal, metal of the case, and the movement inside can cause differences in thickness and sizing in parts, preventing them from being interchangable.

The other is that Omega does NOT sanction the making of unauthorized hybrid versions of their watches. That could impair their reputation if a lot of Frankenwatches were made and eventually hit the used market. Then the word would get around that "you never know what you are getting when you buy an Omega."

Frankly, it is better to simply sell the watch you have and buy a different model that is closer to what you want!
