Re: SMP Dials/Bezels
In Response To: SMP Dials/Bezels ()

: I just ordered a new SMP with the new dial. I
: had wanted a blue dial/blue bezel; or, black
: dial/black bezel but my dealer in
: Switzerland said they were available only
: with polished steel bezels.

: I wonder why Omega decided to do away with blue
: and black bezels. I happened to like that
: look. I know the older styles are still
: available but was swayed to the new one by
: Derek's illustration of what the dial would
: look like glowing in the dark. The new dial
: is much easier to read.

: Any comments?

: By the way, this is my first post to this
: message forum. I've used the TZ Omega forum
: but this one looks very useful with a lot of
: knowledgable folks. And, I have another
: topic regarding grey market and serial
: numbers to post next.

Keith is correct. I just purchased a beautiful black/black 2054.50 SMP(American version with original SMP band), which is listed as the 2254.50 on Omega's website. I'll be posting a few pictures in the near future.

Regards,

David
