Problem with Speedmaster?

Hi folks.
I have a question for you guys from a budding Omega nut.
I have a Speedmaster 3520.53 which I absolutely love.
I've noticed one thing on it that I though I should ask about.
When I set my watch I am always careful to make sure that the position of the minute hand corresponds exactly with the position of the second hand (of the chronograph).
For example: second hand is at Zero and minute hand is EXACTLY over the minute hash mark; second hand indicating 30 seconds with minute hand EXACTLY between the two minute hash marks.
I've noticed that sometimes (when the mechanism is getting low on power -- I think) the positions of the minute hand and second hand get slightly out of alignment. This seems to almost correct itself when I wind the watch fully.
Is this normal? Or should the hands maintain perfect synchrony once set?
