Soon to be 2531.80 Owner

I'd like to say that this is a great board and thanks to all for the invaluable info you can find here. I've never owned a quality watch but have wanted one for years. Since tommorow is my Birthday I decieded (a couple of weeks ago) 'What the heck, you only live once'. Thanks to this board I took a close look at the 2531.80 Seamaster and fell in love with it(if that's possible with a watch :). After looking at it at several local Omega dealers my mind was made up. I had to have one of these! Each time I put it on my wrist it looked and felt so good I didn't want to take it off. I really wanted to buy locally but one problem was, one dealer wouldn't discount at all, and the other would only go down to $1400+tax. Also, both told me that for any service they send the watch back to Omega.

Thanks to this board I took a look at Ashford.com, and with the 20% coupon I was able to order the Seamaster for $960. With that discount (and Ashford's 3 year Warrantee) the difference in price was too much to resist. If it should need service over the next couple of years hopefully sending it to Ashford will be (almost) as good as back to Omega. So I just put in my order, hope to have it tomorrow. Thanks again to all for the great resource this board is.
