Rubber straps hold up somewhat like leather straps do. You should expect to replace the strap portion every few years.

I don't have the Omega rubber strap myself, but based on experience with other rubber straps, how long they last usually depends on how you treat them more than anything else.

With the Omega rubber strap, half the initial cost is the steel clasp that should last forever. The other half of the cost is the rubber pieces that you can reorder separately when you wish to replace them.
