Current model Seamasters do NOT come with see through backs (unless you are buying the $35,000 and up Seamaster Skeleton).

See through backs are a common feature of the counterfeit Seamaster watches.

Hard to tell with vintage. Overall, Omega has seldom put see-through backs on Seamasters. But I would not want to steer you wrong by incorrectly saying they NEVER did when it is possible that some obscure model from the past did.

Your two best options are to a) post a photo of it here if possible so we can see better the exact model, and b) ask Omega directly for a definitive answer (their contact info in on the Chronocentric Contact page accessible from the link at the bottom of this page).
