The problem is, when describing watches verbally, they all sound alike.

Omega has made thousands of different models and styles over the years. So it is really hard to verbally differentiate between them. Few watches have highly distinctive features and the wording on the dial is *never* enough to identify a specific model (except in a few *very* rare cases).

The one really tangible clue you have is the number 166023--which might be a case number. But that would take Omega to look it up. And it would be better to give them the serial number to get the full details.

Here is where a picture would tell the story instantly. If you don't have a way to post a digital photo of your watch here, you might try searching the Web for "seamaster cosmic" and find a photo of an identical one that you can point us to.
