Re: One solution...

One solution my dealer suggested is to buy the strap version, and then buy the bracelet as an extra (although he said he wasn't positive that it would fit). I'm sure that would work, but now I'm paying a premium for the bracelet. (I always buy my watches with bracelets because it works out cheaper that way).

It's really disappointing that I can't buy the watch combo that I want, especially when it's available in the rest of the world.

hTanks for all the replies. This is a great forum.

: With the Speedmaster style bracelet, the model
: number will NOT have a zero as the second
: digit. The zero specifies the Bond bracelet.
: What you are looking for will likely be
: listed as a 2254.50.

: The only place I've heard of USA buyers getting
: the watch on the Speedmaster style bracelet
: is to purchase through the non-authorized
: dealer Ashford.com. Ashford, being a gray
: market dealer, gets their watches through
: distributors in other countries and brings
: them in to the USA. So they have no trouble
: getting the 'not available in the USA'
: versions.

: Authorized dealers were SUPPOSED to be able to
: get them, but that has never seemed to have
: happened.
