I got my SMP/ch 2254.50 about 2 weeks ago, w/o any document. However the dealer (Authorized) promised that all the paper stuff, including warranty, will be sent to me directly by the importer (Here in Israel) within a month. (Haven't gotten it yet)
It occurred to me that the same procedure was taken by all Omega centers everywhere.
Anyway if you can't get decent answers from your dealer or importer, about the papers, I'd suggest you should email to Omega (watch@omega.ch) asking them about this issue. I can tell that I received from them a kind satisfying detailed email, as an answer to a bunch of questions I emailed them.
I wouldn't worried about the serial number. There was no number at all on mine's box. It could have been just mere negligence by picking the wrong box for you.
