Question about �Break-in� period � new SMP

Hello Omega fans.
I have a new SMP Mid size � 2 weeks old. It is running just outside of spec at +7 per day. Why do I care? I have no idea. Anyway � should I expect an improvement over the next few months?
In general � What is the slowest position to leave a watch with this movement at night?
