Re: Remember to advance your watch date to the 1st

: Thanks for the reminder zOwie! I've been
: running around all day with "31"
: in the window of my Bond SMP. :)

: BTW, I am pretty new to the forum, having been
: a lurker up until this message. I got my SMP
: last week. So far, it seems to be one of the
: "faster" ones, gaining an average
: of about 6 seconds every 24h. I've tried
: various resting positions (the watch, not
: me) when I'm not wearing it. It gains more
: time laying flat (against bracelet) and
: seems to gain slight less time with the
: crown either up or down. I'm gonna give it a
: month or two to "break-in" before
: deciding on a course of action.

: Anyway, great site! It was very helpful in my
: decision making process. Lots of great folks
: here. Thanks to all!

: Mark

Yes, useful reminder, Derek, thanks. I wound my wife's Seiko quartz on 24 hours - seems the only way it will change the date. Trouble is my large finger and thumb envelope the tiny crown wheel and also I have to have a magnifying glass to see what the date is! Got it done in the end, but am already beginning to worry about 1st July! Why does she have a Seiko and not an Omega? Just doesn't fancy the look of the modern Omegas; she had one of the old Dynamics in days gone by. Sorry to ramble. Yes - super website Mr zOWIE, sir!
