Well, I had a disturbing but not surprising event occur with my SMP SS bezel. Some of you may have read about the time I got sand jammed up under the bezel which prevented me from turning it at all. My quickfix solution was a cloth and a pair of Robogrip pliers. After that, the bezel turned smoothly, but the clicks were muted. Yesterday, I noticed that I was able to turn it backwards a few notches. Whith some practive and a little gentle lifting around the edges, I can now turn the bezel completely around the other way! Not that this is a good thing, but it is kind of cool and I don't mind for now. I am planning on having the entire bezel replaced anyhow due to several deep scratches. I must have damaged the ratchet inside when I forced the bezel. I think Omega sells them for $185 + labor.
Oh well, maybe I should just buy a brand new watch and keep this one as a beater...hmmmmmmm
