ladies seamaster cosmic

Hello,

I have a question. I have a ladies stainless steel band and case omega cosmic 2000 automatic - the face is silver and has a date function. I was trying to determine what the value of this watch is. I sent it off to an Authorized Omega dealer because it stopped running. I heard back from the dealer who said it would be about $500 to fix - I'd like to know what the value is to determine if it is worth fixing - it needs new cystal, crown, screw, main spring, gaskets, waterproofing and general overhall. The case and bracelet are in very good condition. The dealer had an omega reference book, but didn't find a picture of it, nor located a serial number on it - but didn't seem to think it was a fake. I'm thinking for this amount I could just but another one... Help!

Melissa
