I haven't done it myself before thus I can't help with personal experience. However I found Derek's answer to the same question......

Two things:

One, get the right tool. They are available from Howard for about $20. Be sure to ask for the STEEL tool for BRACELETS, not the black plastic one which works only for straps.

Also, once you release one end of the pin, do NOT move that side of the bracelet much out of position. That puts sideways pressure on the other end of the pin in its hole, making it harder to release.
