All Omega's have a serial number inside on the movement. The gray marketers only remove the obvious external serial number.
That's what makes the gray market dealers removing the external number seem so inane. Since they do not remove all the serial numbers on the watch, their claimed reason of 'protecting their suppliers' is total bull.
If Omega wants to trace the watch, all they have to do is open it. And certainly Omega knows how to open their own watches!
