Help: Red Gold Coaxial opinion Needed!

Have an opportunity to buy this somewhat pricy but very nice watch. I was immediately smitten when I saw it in the glass and realize they are in short supply. I really like it - the weight, readability, sharp look (to me), and innovation. But my compansions didn't like it when I held it next to my wrist. I was very surprised. Something about the blue face clashing with the strap and pink gold. I don't think it's gaudy if that's what they meant. Anyone have an opinion or experience with. Also, what are the non LE gold watches expected to go for - I understand the red gold (provided by sister co. Blancpain) will not be in any of the new watches.

Thanks!
