Omega symbol on saphire crystal?!

Just received that America's Cup I had ordered from the Shop-NBC TV show. Every method of confirming that it's authentic checks out, except one...I don't see the Omega Symbol in the center of the crystal! My Standard Seamaster had it, so I knew what to look for, but it's not there.
I emailed Omega with the serial number to ask them to confirm where the watch was originally shipped, and to inquire about the symbol, and am awaiting an answer from them. Meanwhile, I thought I'd ask here...anyone know if a watch imported directly from a retailer in Switzerland would have NO Symbol? The distributor "Swiss Watch Intl., Inc." says they ordered it from Switzerland and shipped it to Shop-NBC before it was forwarded on to me.
