A Casio dive watch is well engineered--just not expensive. A Omega Seamaster is also well engineered and is expensive, too. But it is expensive NOT because it is significantly better engineered as a dive watch than the Casio. It is expensive because it is a luxury watch. But luxury items are not what you need in the deep. That's where you need reliability and functionality. And functionally, a Casio dive watch will do a lot more for you than a time and date only mechanical luxury watch.
