: Hi, Gary,
: Thank you very much for the suggestions. My
: brother paid about $2450 for his watch from
: Overstock.Com. I would rather to pay the
: same price to buy mine from the Overstock if
: they had one.
: Jomashop advertised the watch as "new and
: complete", not pre-owned, which they
: specifically emphasized during my phone
: conversation with them. As you said, the
: paperwork should be with it if it is new and
: complete, which is my thought, too. The lack
: of the original paperwork makes me not only
: concern about the authenticity, but also
: suspect this watch may not be new but be a
: pre-owned. I checked several websites about
: the customer reviews about shopping in
: Jomashop. Indeed, there were several
: complain about the company to send out
: pre-owned or defect watch to customs. I only
: wish that I read those comments before I
: bought my watch.
: I cannot have a watchmaker take off the back to
: check the authenticity. Jomashop
: particularly states that the action, such as
: taking off the back, is one of exclusion
: conditions for a customer to return the
: watch. So, I cannot have this watch been
: checked. Otherwise, I cannot return it back
: if I decide to.
: I am planing to call Jomashop to ask those
: paper works tomorrow as you suggested. If
: their responses are not satisfactory, I will
: return the watch and buy from other more
: reliable vendors. Jomashop does have 30-day
: money back guarantee. Unfortunately, there
: were lots of hassles involved to return
: items and to get refund according to on-line
: customer reviews.
: Thanks again for the suggestions. I am an
: inexperience on-line shopper. Any advice
: will be welcomed.

Okay....heres the deal with Jomashop....They are NOT and Authorized Dealer for Omega or Rolex or the majority of the watches that they sell. That is why you did not receive all of the paperwork for your watch....Jomashop is not allowed to provide you with the "Missing paperwork" because they are not an Authorized Dealer for Omega....they are authorized for Pulsar, Seiko and Bulova.
You need to take the watch to an Authorized Dealer for Omega and have them open the case back or simply examine the watch for authenticity.
I dont think the watch is a fake....The serial number looks correct to me and does not match the common serial numbers on most Omega replicas
Jomashop gets their Omegas and Rolex watches from vendors who are Authorized....thats why they can say that they are selling "New" Omegas and Rolex....The watches are new....but they are not sent to Jomashop directly from the manufacturer.
They will allow you to return the watch after a watchsmith has opened the back....just make sure it was opened by an AD and that he provides you with a letter stating that the watch is indeed a replica....make sure you talk with the customer service representative at jomashop before you go to the AD....make sure you understand their "Process" for returns and do everything within jomashop guidelines
GOOD LUCK....I think everything will be fine....next time....buy your watch from an AD.
