In my humble opinion, a couple of the bargains of the day were:
Lot 41 - Gray Monaco manual wind at £4800
Lot ?? - Chronomatic Carrera at £6000 (for the very serious)
Lot 47 - Calculator at £1200 (at least thats what I think it went for)
and yes....the first watch off the block lot 19, the Ref.1163 MH, 1970 at £1700 . Well done!
And yes, some bidders went bonkers up the front...I reckon one guy in the front would have clocked up 100k in wristwear.
A once in a lifetime experience. Thank you very much Arno!
