Only one of which is marking the dials with "Fab. Suisse" perhaps? It certainly seems to be the minority that have that text.

And I think that is how the auctioneers arrive at a premium too, you simply pay more for scarcity. The same as you would for a Sea Dweller with two lines of red text. Not that I personally think this marking is worth extra on a Heuer, not to a non-French collector at least.

To an extent, that is decided by the community. I wouldn't pay extra for a dial with one of the retailer marks for instance; in fact I'd look to pay less, despite the dial thus marked clearly being rarer than the standard dial. Would anyone pay extra for a caseback with Cuanillon markings? Interesting to know which market the watch was for originally yes, but not worth more.
