I know how you feel Stewart.
I love the style & classic look of the 1st Carrera's but at 195cm & 112kg ( think tall rugby player if you think imperial measurements ), then the early Carrera's are too small for me.
I researched a little & found one that works. Its 38mm wide but actually feels bigger.

They also have a 2 register version & each are available in black or cream.
