My experience with the TZ-UK forum is that there are some pretty strict rules. It is run a bit like a dictatorship.
I posted a request for advice concerning a purchase which did not go as smoothly as it should have. The member is quite well known in the UK and deals in high end watches. He has posted on OTD on a number of occasions.
There was nothing incriminating or untoward in my post. However, it was quickly deleted and a request for some sort of explanation or reason was ignored. It seems that you have to be part of the crowd or buddies and your credibility is a function of that relationship.
By default, outsiders are treated with contempt and distrust and what is considered criticism is not tolerated.
IMHO, the best and most successful forums (like OTD), are those that are open to discussion and collaboration for the benefit of members or non alike.
