The same sort of thing happened to me about a year ago, when bidding on a Daytona over on Ebay Italy. Auction ended early, as the seller was not getting the bids he was hoping for,and the next day an email arrived offering the same watch at a considerably lower price. "Payment to be made by wire transfer to my account in England, watch is perfect" etc etc etc.Ignoring the email did not help as the individual was quite persistent. If I remember correctly I got about a half dozen or so.
In the end the varmint went away, and that was that. Most annoying, but no real harm done, thankfully.
