Hi Descartes
Thanks for reopening this thread. But my unanswered question was on the different tachy scale I saw on pics of the 3647NT. Is it possible that for the same model there are two different tachy scales? See pictures below.
Thanks for any help,
Gianmarco
: Long time Rolex and Patek collector here, studying up on vintage
: Heuer in contemplation of a possible purchase.
: In his post, Giancarlo asked an interesting question about the
: authenticity of this dial on the 3647NT he was onsidering
: purchasing last year, as reflected in this thread and his first
: post. His question-- which I don't think anyone answered--
: pertained to the lume plot at the 3 o'clock (i.e. quarter after)
: position. The plot looks off. That is, it is not aligned with
: the 3 o'clock baton marker, but is a little higher, and actually
: directly in line with the 10 minute mark of the "45 minute
: register." This looks like it may be a sloppy relume job.
: If you look at all the other lume plots they line up exactly to
: the hour markers, but not the one at 3 o'clock. Is anyone able
: to address this issue and comment on the
: authenticity/originality of this dial. Also, would a 6.1M serial
: number of a 3647NT which contains the word "swiss" at
: 6 pm, but not the T in a circle (for tritium) be correct. I am
: wondering if 6.1M is too late a serial number for a non-T dial.
: I greatly appreciate the comments of the experts on these issues.
: Thank you.
