Ah, that's probably the key point right there, and probably the reason Mich was told they couldn't help with he Monaco. Rather surprisingly my watch has a clean looking movement that is still running, and I already have a crystal and rehaut, so to build it up I only need a dial, the missing hands, and the rebuild/service. I also have the papers so it would be a shame to use it for donor parts. IMO it is worth trying to return it back to how it was.
And pretty much the only reason I considered using Tag Heuer as a service centre, which I tried to indicate at the start of the thread, was the idea that they may be able to provide a dial. If that isn't going to happen, then they won't get the watch. I'll call them today and see what they say
